Cain Brothers & Company hosted an executive panel discussion on the accelerating trend of divestitures and monetization transactions of ancillary health care lines of business and assets by not-for-profit health systems. The panel addressed the reasons and methods for health systems monetizing non-core lines of business and the points of view of three of the leading acquirers of health care services businesses in the U.S.: Quest Diagnostics (clinical labs and related services), Amedisys Inc. (home health care services), and Life Care Services (senior living communities).

Cain Brothers & Company hosted a panel discussion conference call among six industry leaders from both health care systems and the Health Care Information Technology industry. The panel, hosted by Ray Falci, Managing Director of Cain Brothers, addressed the potential impacts, pitfalls and opportunities created by the multi-faceted HCIT inclusions in the recently-passed Economic Stimulus Act.
