Cain Brothers & Company hosted an executive panel discussion on the accelerating trend of divestitures and monetization transactions of ancillary health care lines of business and assets by not-for-profit health systems. The panel addressed the reasons and methods for health systems monetizing non-core lines of business and the points of view of three of the leading acquirers of health care services businesses in the U.S.: Quest Diagnostics (clinical labs and related services), Amedisys Inc. (home health care services), and Life Care Services (senior living communities).
