Kristin Carey leads Cain Brothers’ Pharmaceutical Services and Outsourcing coverage. Ms. Carey joined Cain Brothers in 2016, with 25 years of healthcare investment banking experience. Her career has been devoted to working for healthcare clients in the U.S. and abroad, executing transactions spanning M&A, public and private capital raising, and related advisory assignments. Ms. Carey’s recent transactions include the sale of iCardiac to ERT, the acquisition of LSNE by Permira, the recapitalizations of Pharmaceutics International (Pii) and Pharmaron, and the divestiture of certain business units of Aptuit. Additionally, her career boasts work for some of the major pharmaceutical outsourcing companies including IPOs for Quintiles, Wuxi, and AMRI; financings for Covance, PPD, and Patheon; as well as M&A advisory work for Parexel, EResearch, Perrigo, Wuxi and United BioSource.
Prior to joining Cain Brothers, Ms. Carey was a Senior Managing Director at Teneo Capital. Prior to joining Teneo Capital, Ms. Carey was a Managing Director in JP Morgan’s Healthcare Investment Banking Group for eleven years with a particular focus on leading their effort in Pharmaceutical Outsourcing. Earlier in her career Ms. Carey was at Hambrecht & Quist and Morgan Stanley.
Ms. Carey received a B.S. from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.
