DeKalb Medical and Emory Healthcare (“Emory”) have signed a letter of intent to develop a strategic partnership. Both institutions have a strong and historical commitment to delivering high quality community-based healthcare, and the partnership would allow for continued growth and expansion of services to DeKalb County communities. The two institutions anticipate finalizing the partnership in 2018, after signing definitive agreements and receiving final approval from regulatory agencies.

Cain Brothers is acting as DeKalb Medical’s exclusive financial advisor, engaged to manage a process evaluating strategic options, identify and select an affiliation partner, coordinate due diligence and aid in negotiation of the terms of the transaction.

Emory is the most comprehensive health system in Georgia, with nearly 2,000 Emory and private practice physicians, seven hospitals, 200 provider locations, and nearly 60 urgent care clinics.
