PetWell Partners (“PetWell”), a national network of veterinary hospitals, has agreed to be acquired by National Veterinary Associates (“NVA”), a portfolio company of JAB Holding Company. This partnership positions PetWell for its next phase of growth and provides the opportunity to offer the combined resources and expertise of a stronger, more geographically diverse community.
Cain Brothers, a division of KeyBanc Capital Markets, served as the exclusive financial advisor to PetWell Partners in connection with the transaction.
Founded eight years ago, PetWell has created a veterinary community of locally managed and branded animal hospitals united in the belief that placing pets and families first is key to delivering the best care. Today, the PetWell community includes 47 general practice animal hospitals across the U.S. Practice owners and veterinarians join PetWell because of the Company’s values, a strong culture and unwavering commitment to serve its local communities. PetWell teamed with the American Animal Hospital Association (“AAHA”) to further its goals of providing the best service to its patients. PetWell is the first organization to earn Practice Network Accreditation from AAHA, with all its hospitals receiving accreditation.
Veterinarian founded in 1996, NVA has a rich history of preserving the culture and legacy of local veterinary hospitals while offering incredible support. As NVA’s community has grown to approximately 1,000 locations across five countries, NVA has invested in the business tools and resources required to support successful hospitals and allow veterinary teams to focus on what matters most: the health and well-being of animals. NVA is closely aligned with PetWell’s culture and operations, making this partnership a unique fit.
